The bundle is pulled together from some of my very favourite brands, and I know you’ll love the prizes just as much as I do. I love love LOVE to hype about brands and products that genuinely make me happy, you’ll know that I selectively work and blog about those items that really make me excited about country fashion, and why I fell in love with ‘fashion’ and what I do, in the first place.
So let’s have a look at what is included in The Big Birthday Giveaway:

Fairfax & Favor

It doesn’t take any explaining that I am obsessed with this brand. I have adored them for years- and I have quite the collection, which sees endless use. I purchased my first pair of boots whilst at University, and it seemed a huge investment at the time, but that very pair of boots is still going strong. If you haven’t read the story of how Fairfax & Favor started, I urge you to do so. You can find the story of Fairfax & Favor here.

The Fairfax & Favor Prize: The Winchester Navy Leather Travel Wallet.
This prize is spectacular, wow! I haven’t seen the travel wallet before, so I wasn’t sure about sizing, and how it would look inside. Let’s just say, it really doesn’t disappoint.
The travel wallet has been designed to be practical and spacious, whilst remaining effortlessly stylish. Featuring two large zip compartments and one smaller zip compartments. Once inside, there is also card holders. The outer of the wallet is grained leather, with a detachable loop handle and finished with the F&F shield.
This wallet is available on the Fairfax and Favor website, in a further two colours – Tan and Chocolate.
Shop The Winchester here.

Grays 1922

Founded in 1922, Grays is an Englsih lifestyle brand, selling country gifts and equestrian themed leather products. I have various products from Grays, and their leather products really do get better with age. As an equestrian myself, I automatically gravitate towards equestrian inspired products and accessories. Anything with a snaffle bit on, is usually a yes from me. There is something very special about Grays products.

The Grays 1922 Prize: The Haston Bag in Brown Leather.
Prize number two for our lucky winner is the Haston Bag in brown leather. This saddle bag inspired style features beautiful brown leather, with snaffle detailing. The snaffle bits have been incorporated onto both the strap, and the front of the bag – making this perfect for the equestrian enthusiast, as well as those looking to expand their country wardrobe.
The bag features an adjustable strap, which extends to a length of 60cm, a magnetic catch from opening, and an internal pocket, featuring a zip closure.
Sizing – L – 30cm, W – 8cm, H – 18cm .
You can shop the Haston Bag online in its various colourways here.

Sporting Hares

Sporting Hares are a British Countryside brand, designing practical and stylish products that applaud the country lifestyle. Whether you’re an equestrian, shooting or countryside enthusiast, Sporting Hares will have a product for you. This brand has featured several times throughout out my blog, so you’ll be no stranger to how much I love this brand, and how highly I think of them and their products. I am an equestrian myself, and somewhat of an awful shot, so I have put my SH products to use practically, as well as using them as stylish pieces to make up my country wardrobe – ticking all the boxes for me!

The Sporting Hares prize: Fenston Sunglasses in Distresed.
I have owned a pair of these SH sunglasses myself, so I can speak from experience when I speak about these – they have also featured as part of previous blogs, so you can always find out a little more about them. I am very picky about my sunglasses. I have a small head, and I drive A LOT, so finding something comfortable, practical and something that doesn’t tint the light too weirdly is a must for me.
The Distressed Fenston sunglasses take luxury eyewear up a notch, with their CR-39 polarised lenses and natural grain wooden frames. The arms of the Fenston sunglasses are spring loaded, meaning they ensure comfort for the wearing and a good fit. The lens are a bold blue, making them both eyecatching, and stylish.
You can shop the Fenston Sunglasses in their two colours, here.

Teddy Edward Clothing

I have raved about this brand before in several blogs now, and I still stand by what I’ve said many a times. I LOVE this brand, everything about it from the limited numbers of products – knowing that what you’re wearing is unique, to the values the brand holds. If you’d like to read the brand values, you can find them here. This is definitely something people are much more concious of now, and they want to know more ‘behind the scenes’ from brands, and the values that they base their business on. Teddy Edward outline all of those in the link provided, and I think you’ll be just as impressed as I was.
You have probably seen that I live in my Teddy Edward jeans and skirt, so I can 100% vouch for the quality and design behind this brand.

The Teddy Edward Clothing Prize: Ava Luxury T-Shirt in your choice of Black or White.
For prize number four, we have the Teddy Edward Ava Luxury T-shirt. The Ava T-shirt will effortlessly take you from day to night, so whether you want to pair with a skirt and boots, or a pair of skinnies and heels, this T-shirt is the perfect go to look. Make from a soft British spun cotton blend, the Ava features a scoop neck and curved hem, to flatter and compliment your shape. The winner will be able to pick their preferred colour choice, from the black or white option available.

These belts are just the most perfect addition to a country wardrobe – in fact, I would go as far as to saying that I don’t think a country wardrobe is quite complete without a snaffle belt. These are ideal for pairing with a dress, skirt or jeans, so the opportunities and ways to wear really are endless.
If you win this amazing giveaway, you will be able to choose your choice of leather, from the 3 different options – Brown, Tan or Navy.

  • Your ULTIMATE Cheltenham Festival Style Guide – What to wear, brands to style, and how to get the best from your outfit last minute! Whether your budget is Shein or Chanel, let me help!
Hello my darlings, I hope you’re well. I’m bringing you another blog where we will delve into the world of fashion for Cheltenham Races, and more specifically The Cheltenham Festival, which is now just days away. This blog is perfect if you’ve got last minute tickets, or still haven’t quite finalised your outfit! I would consider myself somewhat experienced in the area. I have been a member at Cheltenham Racecourse for many many years, attending every single meet! So when it comes to Cheltenham styling, I really do understand what works! Now, I want you to understand I can appriciate how daunting dressing for the races can be! It’s very easy to look at glossy creators who have been dressed head to toe by brands, and think how unachievable their style is. And for many, we don’t have £1000’s to spend on one outfit, for one day! BUT, what I can help with is realistic styling, to suit all budgets. So, whether your budget is Shein or Chanel, you can and will look fabulous at the races! Where to start… First things first, Cheltenham Festival is not Royal Ascot, and if it’s your first time attending this Cotswolds track, that’s definitely something to remember! It’s going to be cold, it’s going to be muddy, and you’re going to be surrounded by a lot more tweed than high heels! Think practicality, layers and suitable footwear. If you don’t know where to start with your outfit, try picking one piece from your wardrobe. That piece can be anything, you just need something as a starting point! It might be that you have a new jacket you want to wear, a scarf you love and want to build an outfit around, or that show-stopping hat you never get chance to wear… it can be any piece of an outfit, but this is our starting point. We are going to build the rest of our outfit around it. Creating your outfit: Now we have a starting piece, we are going to create the rest of the look. I can almost guarantee you will be able to create your race day look from pieces already in your wardrobe. But if you do need to grab anything last minute, don’t forget to look for pieces with next day delivery, or head out to the shops, to save disappointment from something not arriving on time! Outerwear Your outerwear piece could be anything. From a show stopping trench coat, to a practical cape for layering underneath, to a tailored jacket. You’ll see plenty of tweed at Cheltenham racecourse, but it doesn’t mean you have to stick to this. Try to pick something that you can comfortably layer underneath, Cheltenham Racecourse has its own climate, and it is often chilly there! Brands to try: Holland Cooper (there’s still time to buy online, and they have a boutique in Cheltenham that you could visit. Jenerick + Welligogs – I have found their shipping to be speedy, depending on what day you attend, there may still be time to order! Marks + Spencer – they have some great outwear options, and you can visit them on the high street! Tops You’ll see lots of people posting in beautiful silk shirts, but this wouldn’t be my preference, unless you are going to wear thermals underneath, plan on staying inside all day, or have a really warm coat. Don’t forget, we are still only in March, and the weather is very changeable. I would opt for a jumper, and I would still wear a thermal layer underneath. Brands to try: Primark/H&M/M&S – great for high street staple pieces like a jumper or thermals. Holland Cooper – a boutique you can visit in person, and still time for next day delivery! Skirts Skirts are a popular choice, and again, it is often the classic tweeds you will see. If you don’t own a tweed skirt, why not consider a plain colour, which you can tie in with the rest of the outfit, a chocolate, navy or cream colour would work perfectly. Don’t forget tights, and my best advice with tights is to tie them in with the colour of your footwear, to elongate your legs and create a seamless look. If you are wearing tan footwear, opt for natural tights, navy with navy and black with black. Brands to try: River Island/Primark/H&M/M&S – all great high street options for skirts, that you can visit and try on. Trousers A practical option for the season. Two piece outfits are becoming more popular, although not my preference. Trousers are practical and do offer extra warmth on cooler days. If opting for jeans, try to avoid blue denim, and consider a solid colour, perhaps cream, navy, chocolate or black. Brands to try: Lovall – speedy delivery if you plan accordingly. Holland Cooper – have a boutique, and next day delivery. Most high street stores and supermarkets also have trousers and jeans! Dresses Remember this isn’t Royal Ascot. Summery dresses are going to leave you feeling freezing! If you’re considering a dress, why not think about warmer wool materials, or roll neck dresses. Brands to try: H&M or Zara – high street options or Holland Cooper for luxury. Footwear Your footwear has to be practical, I can’t stress this enough. There will be a mix of gravel, tarmac, grass, and you’ll be between inside and outside areas, therefore you want something sturdy. There is also the potential for rain, so consider leather boots, or protecting suede with a waterproof spray, you can use something like Liquiproof. Brands to try: Most high street stores offer a selection of knee high boots which could finish your race day look, alternatively if you’re looking to invest, Fairfax & Favor have the most beautiful footwear, and speedy delivery. Headwear A hat or fascinator can really finish off a race day outfit, and you’ll see plenty of both at Cheltenham. I love the excuse to get a fascinator out, but a fedora goes down equally well. You can go as plain or as extravagent as you like. Brands to try: At this time of year, a charity shop is the perfect place to look for hats and fascinators at a bargain price. Hicks and Brown also have beautiful fedoras and quick delivery. Accessories You can be really clever using accessories to finish off your look. These can either subtly fit into the outfit, in a similar colour way, or you can use your accessories to add a pop of colour to your outfit. I like to use the rule of thirds. So for example, footwear, bag, hat or scarf, belt, bag, in the same colour way. This helps to balance to look of the outfit, this can be really important if using accessories to bring colour into your outfit. Brands to try: With accessories, you’ll probably already have bags/scarves/belts/gloves you could utilise. But again, charity shops can be fantastic. If you’re looking for more of an investment piece, try Holland Cooper or Clare Haggas. Still Stuck?! Let me help with a really simple outfit formulation, and something you’ll likely already have in your wardrobe. Try to stick with neutral colours, by that I mean black, navy, chocolate, creams, browns. The outfit formula I typically follow consists of a roll neck jumper, jeans or a skirt, knee high boots, and a jacket or cape. If you’re wanting to add in a colour, think about your jumper or jacket being the colourful piece, but keeping the rest of the outfit neutral. Stick to solid colours. Want to know where to eat or drink in Cheltenham? See a few of my recommendations below for places to eat and drink around your race day: Where to stay & dine? No38 The ParkWhere to have dinner? Sef SteakhouseWhere to try for drinks? The BotanistWhere to grab coffee/matcha? PicklesWhere to have breakfast? Flight ClubWhere to have cocktails after? No131/Gin&Juice Don’t forget to book! • New brand alert! Hearing from the founder of Jenerick, and reviewing the exquisite Catherine trench coat
Hello my darlings! Welcome back to another blog. This week I am so excited to be joined by the founder of a brand new brand, Jenerick. I have had the pleasure of meeting this brand at the London International Horse Show, AND I have been trying out one of their gorgeous pieces of clothing over the past couple of months. Let’s get straight into this blog, enjoy xx Who are Jenerick? Hi Jenny, it is such a pleasure to have you joining me on my blog! Firstly, please could you introduce yourself, and Jenerick, to our readers?  I am Jennifer, I am a mother of 2 and work full time as a business consultant, I have lived in Gloucestershire pretty much the whole of my life (though I was originally born in Essex). I am definitely a country girl at heart but also love London, and the big cities. The countryside is definitely my haven and gives me my space to breath and decompress from a very busy week. Walking my very energetic spaniel and family weekends spending as much time outside (wind, rain or sun) is my favourite thing. I have always aspired to be a successful business women and taken a lot of cues for strong women, and really believe if you put your heart into something, are not afraid to put the effort in and take risks, you can achieve anything you want to with the right support around you. It’s always so lovely to hear who is behind the brand. Could you share with us what inspired your gorgeous brand Jenerick? It was actually my son and his friends as mid-teens that inspired the brand and concept. I was always mistaking my son for someone else in the street, because they all seemed to look the same, the concept of Jenerick originated as Generic Teen, but gradually developed into a bigger vision. It is difficult sometimes to be unique, a lot of what we wear as a basic garment, whether it’s a hoodie or shirt or trousers, a skirt or suit, whatever it is the basic construction is the same, it is how we wear things that make the difference one look can become many.  So Jenerick as a brand was born out of a play on the word Generic, and my aspiration that I could make clothing that may help inspire people to wear things slightly differently. By adding a slight twist, whether that is the fabric or pattern of combination, like the added detail on a leisure outfit, or choosing a slightly unique pattern for a coat, it is taking the everyday item and trying make it stand out.  I love this story behind the brand, it is really inspiring to hear where the idea came from! What is it specifically about the brand that makes it so unique? I think it is hard as a brand now to be unique especially in clothing, but I try and add a slight twist to each of my designs, and I do design from scratch. Every item is thought through, and goes through many changes until I get to the finished piece. Jenerick is about creating quality items, but making sure they are affordable. It is about not compromising on quality, and making affordable fashion that makes you feel like you should be walking around a castle in. Well the clothing certainly makes me feel like I should be walking around a castle. Your pieces really do feel unique, which as you said, can be difficult to achieve in this industry! Do you currently have a personal favourite product? I feel all of the items I currently have in the launch collection are my favourite, because I have spent so much time designing and really refining them. However, if I had to pick a favourite, I would have to say it is the trench coats.  I just love the detail of the fabric, as soon as I put one on It makes me feel like I can do anything and go anywhere.  And that is what I really want my clothes to do I want people to feel so comfortable and strong in them that they feel they could do anything. I love that!! And I have to say, I think the trenches are my favourite too! We know which are your favourites, but which product is your best seller? At the moment it is close between the plaid trousers and the trench coat, both have received such positive feedback because of the fit comfort and style. Where do you see the brand in 5 years time? That the product range has expanded into more equestrian and men’s fashion, I also want to ensure that we cater for younger demographics.  My absolute goal in 5 years would be to have some boutique stores, and offering an affordable tailor made product, which, I am already looking into.  That sounds amazing! Such exciting plans coming up! I am so excited to continue watching the journey, but I also know how far the brand has come already! What’s your proudest moment so far? This is actually a really hard question, because there have been a lot of moments that I have been a pinch me, but would have to say getting into the London International Horse Show and having a stand there was definitely a very proud moment, especially with all the amazing feedback that I received.  I have had such amazing family and friends to support me and remind me how far I have come it is easy to forget, and LIHS really reminded me what I had achieved. We loved seeing you at LIHS, and it was such a special achievement. Can our readers expect to see you at any shows this year? Yes definitely, I will be at Blenheim Horse Trials, The Game Fair and Three Counties and hope to be at a few more local shows so please watch out on Instagram where I will be posting all the up and coming shows and dates. That’s fantastic, the show season is absolutely wonderful and we look forward to seeing you at those events! What is it that you love most about your job?  I have to say everything, but I absolutely love designing and creating, and to take something you are thinking about and see it as a finished garment for me is my absolute passion, I am constantly thinking about the next piece/s that I what to create. And also really exploring ideas with designers and manufactures, it is all such an exciting process. How do you continue to stay creative?  I am constantly watching out for inspiration in real life, so wherever I go I am always looking at what people are wearing, colours, fabrics but also in other media like films, even animations at the designs.  Sometimes you find ideas in the strangest places and putting these together constantly merging ideas playing with them until something fits. I have to say also though that I love watching the styles that people, influencers are putting together, it is just about keeping my mind and eyes open for inspiration I can take and put my own ideas to. We have lots of fantastic inspiration in the industry, is there anyone in particular that you admire?  I have to say without out any hesitation Jade Holland Cooper, of course It is funny my son and I were at a show a few years ago and Jade was there with a ‘celebrity’. I went “omg it’s Jade Holland Cooper” completely oblivious to who was standing next to her. I think I admire her for her constant drive, strength as a businesswomen and sheer vision. Admiring that has helped to drive me to continually move forward with my dream and goal.   Love that! Now here at CCL, we love getting a little sneak peak for our readers. Is there an exclusive that you can drop for us? We have some beautiful shoes and summer designs coming out, that will be show cased at the shows this year, so please do keep watching out for when they drop. Oooo that’s a great exclusive for us, I can’t wait to see both of those! Finally, do you have any advice for someone dreaming of starting their own business or brand? Firstly, believe that it is possible, you have to believe in yourself first and believe that you can achieve it.  Think of your ultimate goal and work backwards. That may sound strange as everyone will tell you to build a business plan, start from where you are. But when you start from a blank page it is very difficult to see what you need to achieve your goal. So, start from the goal and work backwards it is like re-tracing your steps. And research, I know it sounds boring but try and find people you can talk to who have done it, who will offer you constructive advice.  Finally, do not ever beat yourself up if you have days where things seem hard, if they are hard you are doing it right cut yourself some slack and allow your self down days. Jenny, thank you so much for sharing these insights into the brand with us. We are all so excited to continue to watch your journey with Jenerick, and I have no doubt this is going to be an incredibly successful and exciting year for you! Before you go, we would love to ask you some quick fire questions! Get to know the founder! Quick fire questions with Jenny! Reviewing the Exquisite Catherine Trench Coat We have heard from Jenny, and about some of the beautiful pieces from the brand, however, there is one piece I have tried and tested over the past couple of months, that I really wanted to share with you. Welcome, the Catherine Trench Coat … Think ‘feeling like a princess in the coat of dreams’ and with that, I introduce to you the first Jenerick trench coat. The Catherine Trench Coat is one of the debut launch collection pieces, available in a blue tartan and neutral tartan. With exquisite detailing, and unique tartan prints, this trench coat is a stand out piece, sure to make a statement whether it’s at the races, or dressed down daily. The trench coat has signature gold detailing and a luxurious leather and velvet collar and cuffs, adding a sophisticated touch. The trench coat is a timeless classic, and wardrobe essential. Jenerick has launched this staple piece in a new, fresh way, elevating the look, and standing out from the crowd. Designed in a refined wool-mix, the weight of the fabric drapes beautifully, whilst the layer is light enough for transitional season wear. Due to the beautiful but practical tailoring, you can layer underneath in the cooler months, whilst wearing open with lighter layers in the warmer, milder months. I’ve been testing out this trench coat for a couple of months now. It’s been to the races, it’s been to Rome, and I’ve worn it day to day. I’ve put it through its paces, and really tested this as an investment piece that I would want to get my wear from. Let me tell you, it passed with flying colours. I have absolutely loved wearing the piece, it is really beautifully crafted. I’ve had so many compliments on the coat, because it’s that classic style and silhouette, but in a unique way. I have the neutral tartan, which stood out to me at the start as really unique, perfect for the transitional seasons, but the blue tartan is equally as versatile (and next on my list…
  • What to wear to Cheltenham races. Creating the perfect Cheltenham Festival outfit – A guide on what to wear, how to style and the best places to shop!
With just over 4 weeks to go until we hear that unmistakable Cheltenham roar, I know there will be those looking for inspiration on where to start when it comes to building their perfect race day look. Knowing where to start, what to wear, how much to spend, and where to look can be a stressful ordeal, but never fear, as a long standing member of Cheltenham racecourse, I consider myself somewhat familiar with the National Hunt etiquette and style. What is the dress code? Well… the good news is, there isn’t one! This means that there isn’t a way that you have to dress to attend the races! Wearing what you feel comfortable in is the best way to achieve unbeatable style confidence, and it is a great way to remember where to start when putting together your own outfits. Whilst there is no set dress code, there are some helpful starting points if you have no idea where to begin when putting together your outfit for the day. Where to start… Start with what you already have! You can build off this! If I break down to a basic racing outfit – which anyone could put together, I generally aim for this same format: -Fedora hat/Fascinator-Roll neck jumper-Longline fitted jacket/coat-Chocolate/navy/black jeans or a tweed skirt-Tall suede or leather boots-Finish with a silk scarf, gloves if required, and handbag. Usually you will have at least some of the above in your wardrobe already, and this is such a classic race day look that can be created on any budget. Don’t forget Cheltenham Festival isn’t in the Summer months like Royal Ascot. You’re going to need layers, footwear you don’t mind getting wet/muddy, and probably gloves and a scarf! Not to mention… an umbrella!! ☔️ Best places to shop? This entirely depends on the budget you want to spend. I have broken this down into a couple of different categories. BY BUDGET:Buying just for Race Day: Primark, Marks & Spencers, H&M, Rydale, JoulesInvestment brands: Hicks & Brown, Fairfax & Favor, Holland Cooper, Welligogs, Jenerick BY ITEM:Fedoras/Fascinators: Hicks & Brown, Rydale, Josephines Country Collection, Holland Cooper, JoulesRoll neck jumpers: Primark, Shein, H&M, Marks & Spencer, Holland Cooper, JoulesJackets/coats: Primark, Marks & Spencer, Holland Cooper, Welligogs, Joules, JenerickJeans: Primark, Lovall, Marks & Spencer, Holland CooperSkirts: Primark, Shein, Holland Cooper, JoulesTall Boots: Primark, Rydale, Fairfax & Favor, Spanish Boot Company, Holland CooperScarves: Clare Haggas, Acacia Zuri, Joules, SheinGloves: Welligogs, Barkworth Reeve, Holland CooperBags: Katie Loxton, Fairfax & Favor, Barkworth Reeve, Joules A lot of content you see online may be based around outfits worth a total of £1000’s, which may feel unachievable if you are working to a budget for your race day style. Don’t forget often creators are working with brands to create these looks, don’t let that make you feel out of depth! Use these outfits as really good inspiration, but don’t forget lots of high street brands offer good alternatives. I always believe in opting for investment staples, but when it comes to things like roll neck jumpers – I will nearly always buy mine from the likes the Primark. There are ways to bring down the total cost of your outfit effectively. Give me some inspiration please!! I’ve got you! Like I said, I am a regularly at Cheltenham, I know this style like the back of my hand. Have a little look below at some of my favourite race day styles. You can zoom in on the images below to see in even more detail! Steal my style and shop the looks here! If you want even more inspo, check out my recent blog where I rated everything single outfit I wore over the 16 race days held at Cheltenham last year. You can find that blog here. If you are heading to the Festival this year, I hope you have the most incredible time – it’s the best fun! You can find lots more racing content on my blog using the ‘Racing’ drop down on the menu above, or over on my Instagram (@countryclassiclucinda) See you in the next blog ????
